FTI Consulting Adds Bulge Bracket Investment Banking Expert Alex Wong as Managing Director in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Oct. 13, 2022 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Alex Wong as a Managing Director and Asia Head of Structured Solutions within the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment in Hong Kong.

Mr. Wong has 20 years of M&A and financing experience in bulge bracket investment banks, as well as hands-on senior corporate strategy and executive management experience. At FTI Consulting, he will focus on regional and cross-border M&A advisory and capital raising with a sector focus on Telecom, Media & Technology (“TMT”), FinTech/Web3, financial institutions and real estate. His appointment will complement the firm’s Capital Solutions offering in Asia, which assists and provides solutions to corporates to enable opportunities such as acquisitions, refinancings and dividend recapitalisations.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Wong was Managing Partner at Oasis Advisory Limited, a boutique consultancy firm he founded that specialises in advising disruptive startups on fundraising strategies and business development, and executions on private project financings. Before that, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at TNG FinTech Group, leading its strategic acquisitions in Southeast Asia and capital markets activities, as well as coordinating communications with regulatory bodies regionally, including the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Mr. Wong began his career with Citigroup in New York and has since focused on M&A originations, executions and merger arbitrage situations across the Asia Pacific region in various leading institutions, namely Goldman Sachs, Lazard, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Centaurus Capital and JPMorgan. At JPMorgan, Mr. Wong was Head of Hong Kong and Taiwan Financial Institutions Investment Banking, executing numerous global landmark transactions, and led the establishment of the Private Client Advisory group to offer leading corporate finance advisory services to ultra-high network private banking clients.
