FTI Consulting Expands Strategic Communications Segment in India
Prasanto K Roy Joins as a Senior Director in Delhi, Malini Thadani Joins as a Senior Advisor in Mumbai
Segment Also Adds Nandan Sharalaya as a Senior Consultant in Mumbai
Mumbai and Delhi, India, 23 August 2018 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Prasanto K Roy as a Senior Director, Malini Thadani as a Senior Advisor and Nandan Sharalaya as a Senior Consultant in the Strategic Communications segment in India.
Mr Roy will be based in Delhi, and Ms Thadani and Mr Sharalaya will be based in Mumbai. In his new role, Mr Roy will advise technology, media and telecommunications clients, as well as all clients seeking to navigate the evolving digital economy. In her new role, Ms Thadani will work with FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment across Asia Pacific to advise boards and corporate clients on how best to manage environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) and sustainability risks. In his new role, Mr Sharalaya will extend FTI Consulting’s state-level public affairs capabilities for clients in the Southern and Western Indian states.
Mr Roy brings more than 20 years of experience from the media, digital and technology industries. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he was head of the Internet, Mobile and E-Commerce Council at the National Association of Software and Services Companies technology industry group. Before that, Mr Roy was President of CyberMedia, where he held both management and editorial responsibilities.
Ms Thadani brings more than 36 years of work experience, with 14 years as an officer of the Indian Revenue Service in the Indian government. She also spent more than 20 years with HSBC in various leadership roles in India and Asia Pacific, the last being in Hong Kong, where she led the bank’s sustainability function across Asia.
Mr Sharalaya was previously a German Chancellor Fellow, based in Berlin, working on urban development agreements between India and Germany. Prior to that, he was Chief of Staff to Member of Parliament Professor Rajeev Gowda, and a LAMP Fellow with PRS Legislative Research. Mr Sharalaya holds a Master’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from School of Oriental and African Studies (“SOAS”) University of London.
