FTI Consulting Launches Energy Transition and Industrial Transformation Advisory Service in India
Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory Veteran Sarang Dublish Joins as a Senior Director to Advise on Energy Transition and Net-Zero Pathways
Mumbai, India, Jan. 17, 2023 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the launch of its Energy Transition and Industrial Transformation Advisory service in India with the appointment of Sarang Dublish as a Senior Director.
Based in Mumbai, Mr. Dublish brings more than 15 years of corporate finance, transactions, and tax and regulatory risk advisory experience in the energy and industrial sectors. He will work with a multidisciplinary team of chartered accountants, valuation experts, forensic accountants, energy transition policy advisors, chartered financial advisors and economists to help corporations on their energy transition and net-zero pathways. Mr. Dublish will work with the Global Power, Renewables & Energy Transition team, with colleagues across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dublish led the creation of a corporate finance advisory business and has been with two of the Big Four accounting firms, advising clients on their financial operations and adapting business models to disruptive changes.
“The path to net-zero will create winners and losers. Organizations that integrate clean technologies in their industrial value chains earlier will find the energy transition relatively easier. This new advisory service marks a strategic investment by FTI Consulting to solve a complex ecosystem and enterprise problem with a multidisciplinary team,” said Amrit Singh Deo, a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting.
“Expanding the Power, Renewables & Energy Transition team by adding in-market capability in India is a key milestone for FTI Consulting. As the fifth-largest economy globally, India and its market participants face deep challenges in decarbonizing industrial processes, integrating clean technologies and progressing down net-zero pathways. We look forward to working with Sarang and Amrit on energy transition in India and ensuring global support for clients in this critical journey,” said Miriam Wrobel, Global ESG & Sustainability Leader at FTI Consulting.
The appointment of Mr. Dublish continues FTI Consulting’s investment in energy transition expertise in India. Amit Pathare was recently appointed as a Senior Advisor for energy transition in India, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience working with Engie and running an independent energy consulting firm in Asia. Mr. Dublish will work closely with Mr. Pathare and Mr. Singh Deo to continue growth in the corporate finance and business transformation advisory business in India, with a focus on helping corporations on energy and industrial transition.
FTI Consulting began work in India in the early 1990s, advising on the restructuring of state electricity boards. Since then, FTI Consulting’s clean energy professionals in India have advised global investors, government agencies and corporations (both global and in India) on energy transition plans. In India, FTI Consulting provides advisory support to the India Hydrogen Alliance (“IH2A”) industry body and is responsible for running its secretariat.
