FTI Consulting Strengthens Public Affairs Capabilities in Spain With Appointment of Borja de Pedro

De Pedro joins as Managing Director from Banco Santander, where he worked in the Public Policy team

Madrid, 24 September 2026. FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Borja de Pedro as a Managing Director in the Public Affairs practice within the firm’s Strategic Communications segment.

In his role at FTI Consulting, he will advise financial institutions and multinational organisations on public policy, regulatory strategy and institutional relations. Mr. De Pedro brings deep expertise across banking, capital markets and market infrastructure, asset and wealth management, insurance, payments, financial services competition, and defence financing.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, De Pedro worked in Banco Santander’s Public Policy area between 2021 and 2026. In that role, he analysed political and regulatory developments, contributed to the group’s positioning and represented the bank before organisations including the Spanish Banking Association, CEOE, the European Banking Federation, the Association for Financial Markets in Europe, the Institute of International Finance and DigitalEurope.

De Pedro was previously part of FTI Consulting between 2016 and 2021, based in the Brussels office, where he served as Director of Financial Services, Public Affairs & Government Relations within the Public Affairs practice. His career also includes experience at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, at the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

He holds a law degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy. He speaks Spanish, English and French.
