FTI Consulting Adds Veteran ESG Consultant to Strategic Communications Segment in Brazil
São Paulo, Sept. 15, 2022 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the addition of Guilherme “Gui” Athia as a Senior Advisor focused on environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) and stakeholder governance within the firm’s Strategic Communications segment.
Mr. Athia has 30 years of experience leading nonfinancial stakeholder relations with Fortune 500 companies in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. In recent years, he has dedicated his attention to ESG and stakeholder capitalism issues as a consultant, professor and events organizer. At FTI Consulting, Mr. Athia will provide consulting services in matters related to stakeholder governance for companies operating in highly regulated sectors around the world, primarily focusing on the Brazilian market.

Mr. Athia has engaged diverse stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, NGOs, think tanks, communities and the media, through leadership roles in corporate affairs departments at Fortune 500 companies during the past three decades. He is adept at building and leading teams that handle complex and intricate communications issues across regions and industries, with experience developing pragmatic systems to support C-suite leaders to make well-informed decisions that reduce risks and increase competitiveness. Mr. Athia has advised some of the world’s leading brands, including an American multinational athletic and apparel brand, a multinational automobile strategic alliance and a European consumer electronics company.
