For more than 25 years Juliette Fortin has assisted leading companies and law firms. Since 2006, she has specialised in valuation issues such as the valuation in M&A contexts, the quantification of damages claims in domestic and international commercial and investment disputes, accounting issues and post-transaction disputes.
Juliette has assisted French and multinational companies, and leading law firms, in various countries around the world including Africa, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe. Her experience covers many different industry sectors including construction, mining, energy, telecommunications, distribution, services, hotel, and food.
In international arbitration disputes, Juliette is regularly appointed as an expert and gives oral evidence. She has testified in international arbitration procedures before the ICC and the ICSID, in French and English and will soon testify in Spanish. Juliette is one of the experts in international arbitration listed by Who’s Who Legal Arbitration (Expert Witnesses and Thought Leaders).
In the context of national disputes, Juliette regularly intervenes as an expert in litigation before the Commercial Courts, within the framework of judicial expertise, or in ad-hoc expertise. Juliette has also been involved in litigation before the Paris Arbitration and Mediation Center (CMAP). In its latest 2021 edition, magazine Décideurs recognised Juliette as “excellent” in matters of commercial litigation, shareholder litigation on listed companies and fairness attestation, shareholder litigation and valuation of damage and antitrust litigation; and “essential” in matters of international arbitration.
Juliette joined FTI Consulting in September 2010, having previously worked at PwC in Paris (in Transaction Services from 1999 to 2006 then in Disputes from 2006 to 2010) and prior to that at PwC in London (in Audit from 1996 to 1999). She is a Member of the Executive Board and Treasurer of ArbitralWomen.
