Sareena Saint specialises in the quantification of complex business interruption and construction delay in start-up claims providing forensic accounting and insurance expertise. Sareena has assisted with the provision of expert services for the assessment of financial damages and loss of profit claims in the context of international arbitration.
Drawing on Sareena’s experience in supporting global insurers, reinsurers and policyholders with the financial assessment of complex insurance claims, she has successfully developed a practice generating over USD 2m in revenue in 2020 and USD 1.2m year to date 2021 through her network including insurance lawyers, corporates and brokers.
Sareena joined a global Insurance broker in London in 2011, where she actively managed and quantified major loss of profit claims, highlights including claims arising from the Thailand Floods in 2011 and the high-profile hotel fire in Dubai in 2015. Sareena relocated to the Middle East in 2015 with the company to set-up the complex claims team due to the demand for this expertise in the region.
Prior to this, Sareena embarked upon pursuing her ACCA accreditation, gaining her practical experience at an auditing firm. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Sareena was based in Chile, South America responding to major business interruption losses arising from the Chilean Earthquakes in 2010. Sareena commenced her career in 2005 at a consultancy specialising in the provision of expert witness services, primarily developing quantum analysis in relation to construction projects and drafting excerpts for inclusion in expert reports in the context of international construction arbitration.
