About Adam
Adam Rice is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment of FTI Consulting, based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rice is a member of the Financial Services Public Affairs practice and partners with the Government Affairs practice in lobbying the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, the Senate Banking Committee and congressional leadership.
With more than a decade of experience managing high-profile strategic communications matters, Mr. Rice provides counsel to financial services clients navigating complex challenges associated with corporate affairs. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and head of public affairs at the American Securities Association, a leading advocacy association representing America’s investment banks, broker-dealers and wealth management firms.
Prior to this role, Mr. Rice served as director of communications at the Financial Services Roundtable, a trade group representing the largest American asset managers, banks, payment companies and insurers. In this capacity, he advised the group’s CEO and former presidential candidate Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN).
Mr. Rice served on the House Financial Services Committee under Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) and as communications director for Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), the Chairman of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee. On Capitol Hill, Mr. Rice provided strategic counsel on the top economic and national political issues facing the nation. Additionally, on several occasions, he led the advisory on congressional campaigns.
Mr. Rice graduated from Southern Methodist University (“SMU”) with a B.A. in history with a focus in political science. He earned an M.B.A. from the SMU Cox School of Business.
