Alec Bounds

Alec Bounds has more than 25 years of experience providing supply chain and procurement transformation services to global companies, governments and private equity (“PE”) portfolio companies.

Mr. Bounds has served a number of PE portfolio companies and has held interim procurement leadership roles, driving value creation through strategic sourcing and external spend management. He brings deep experience to both indirect and direct spend categories.

Having worked across a variety of industries, Mr. Bounds brings a wealth of practical experience in implementing critical cost levers that drive impact, including supplier negotiations and relationship management, specification and inventory rationalization, strategic sourcing, complexity reduction and new product introduction. He also has experience with post-merger integration and procurement policy and governance.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bounds served as the global Chief Procurement Officer for Mirion Technologies, a global leader in radiation detection, serving the utilities, defense and medical industries. Mr. Bounds has also held a variety of consulting roles for professional services firms, including Beckway, Kearney and Insight Sourcing Group.

Relevant Experience:

• Led procurement function through due diligence and post-merger integration of two food distribution companies, implementing plans to realize $1.2 million in current year and $9.4 million cumulative over three years.
• Led cost control and spend management implementation for an arbor care company, implementing increased spend control processes for supplies and vehicle maintenance, to achieve 200 basis points (“bps”) improvement in cost of goods sold as percent of revenue
• Directed three post-merger acquisition integration projects, evaluating spend synergies across $50 million in spend, implementing leveraged buying agreements and driving more than $3 million in procurement savings
• Implemented global supplier management strategy to deliver more than $150 million in incremental value over five years; leveraged benchmarking of top suppliers to create sustainable value creation across 30,000 suppliers globally
• Led procurement assessment for a Fortune 50 retailer, evaluating more than $10 billion in spend; implemented a program to address more than $900 million in indirect and leading program teams to achieve more than $50 million in savings
