Alejandro Bustamante

Alejandro Bustamante is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation consulting team at our Construction, Projects & Assets (“CP&A”) practice. Alejandro focuses on the construction, mining, oil and gas, and energy industries. He has more than 24 years of experience in management positions internationally.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Alejandro served as Contract Manager at Vinci Highways for a road concession in Peru, where he oversaw construction contracts for a major project valued at over $1.6 billion. He also led a team of experts in preparing technical reports for international arbitration. With more than 24 years of international experience in Chile, Peru and the United States, Alejandro has held leadership positions at top multinational companies.

Alejandro possesses a commercial profile oriented to business development and growth. Leading multicultural teams with determined leadership and managing positions such as Branch Manager in Los Angeles, California, Country Manager & Contract Manager in Peru, involving a high level of responsibility and complexity and developing megaprojects of high relevance. He has aided in analyzing and preparing expert reports on claims and disputes to quantify damages, delays, disruptions, and other contractual issues.

Alejandro holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru, and a M.B.A. from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Spain. He has further specialized through postgraduate diplomas in Insurance and Risk Management, and Marketing and Sales from Universidad de Piura in Peru. His International Federation of Consulting Engineers (“FIDIC”) Adjudicator certification and FIDIC White Book certification underscore his expertise in construction contract management and dispute resolution. Additionally, he has completed advanced training in construction scheduling at Columbia University and in mediation and conflict resolution at the Superior School of Economic and Commercial Sciences (“ESSEC”) business school, further enhancing his capabilities in project planning, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement within complex environments. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
