About Alex
Alex Le May is a Senior Managing Director based in London, where he leads the M&A and Activism offering within the Strategic Communications segment.
Since joining FTI Consulting in 2013, Alex has supported clients on more than 250 transactions, acting on both buy- and sell-side mandates. He helps clients execute complex global M&A, bringing a multistakeholder approach to engagements, ensuring the approach works across all key parties, including employees, customers and suppliers, unions, government, investors and the media, amongst others.
In addition to international M&A and IPOs, Alex has advised clients on confidential activism defences and supports clients with defence preparedness.
Relevant Experience:
- Supported SEGRO on their agreed takeover by Prologis
- Advised McCormick on its acquisition of Unilever's Food assets
- Advised Rio Tinto on its possible acquisition of Glencore plc
- Led on Rio Tinto’s activist defence against Palliser Capital
- Advised Smiths Group on its separation processes for both Smiths Detection and Interconnect
- Advised Wood Group on its takeover by Sidara and previous approaches from Apollo
- Advised DSM on its €41 billion merger with Firmenich
- Supported numerous clients on private engagements with significant activist investors, including Elliott
