About Alex
Alex Schwartz specializes in M&A due diligence with almost 10 years of experience in buy-side due diligence, sell-side diligence, merger integration, carve-outs, forecasting, financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) and cash modeling. Alex has supported clients in executing M&A transactions across the globe including the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. In 2018, Alex relocated to San Francisco to establish FTI Consulting’s Transaction footprint on the west coast with Christopher Lee.
Alex’s M&A experience covers a broad range of industries including software and SaaS, telecommunications, semiconductors, printing and media, IT infrastructure, healthcare, restaurants, cannabis, consumer goods and business services. His deal experience has also covered a wide variety of investment types and structures, including equity transactions, buyouts, leveraged buyouts (“LBOs”), minority investments and venture capital.
Alex has a strong analytical insight with a diverse professional background to create unique value for each client’s needs. These needs typically include evaluating the quality and sustainability of the reported earnings and free cash flow, analyzing the quality and potential realizability of the balance sheet and net assets, understanding historical working capital trends and managing post-close adjustments and negotiations, and reviewing financial projections, among others.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Alex worked as an auditor, a futures trader and an FP&A analyst at a Fortune 500 healthcare company.
