About Alexander
Alexander Van Tuyn has more than 10 years of corporate finance, restructuring, interim management, valuation and strategic advisory experience. Mr. Van Tuyn has worked across a range of industries including construction, energy, manufacturing and telecom, among others.
Mr. Van Tuyn has played a key role in numerous company-side turnaround mandates and routinely leads engagements at the intersection of capital structure optimization, business plan review, liquidity forecasting, risk management and valuation. Additionally, he has served in multiple interim management roles, working closely alongside company stakeholders to deliver effective results.
Mr. Van Tuyn holds an M.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Relevant Experience:
- Served as interim Finance Manager for a global solar engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) company over a period of 18 months; worked with teams across geographies to implement business restructuring strategies
- Served as assistant to the Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) of a $150 million specialty manufacturer of proprietary hardware that optimizes grid transmission
- Served as interim Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) for a diversified independent power producer; supported more than $1 billion in new debt capital markets activity in connection with the financing of four individual special purpose vehicles (“SPVs”)
- Provided restructuring advisory services to a middle market creditor group during the out-of-court recapitalization of a specialty manufacturing company
- Designed and implemented a new service delivery system for a $9 billion telecom company
- Performed merger integration (“MI”) services for an acquisition by a $20 billion broadcasting and cable company; assessed overlapping functions within the two organizations and mapped out consolidated processes
- Providing interim management services to a publicly traded utility, working with Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Vice President of Finance on initiatives to improve various operational and reporting functions within the department; supported $300 million spin-off and IPO of a subsidiary entity
- Led financial and operational due diligence on behalf of an equity sponsor in connection with its acquisition of a lead battery manufacturer and recycler with operations across the United States, Europe and Africa
