Alvin Tan

Alvin T. Tan is an Affiliate in the Corporate Finance practice of FTI Consulting Philippines, Inc. and is based in Manila.

Mr. Tan has extensive experience in corporate advisory and transaction support, with a strong focus on business and intangible asset valuations, fairness opinions and purchase price allocation exercises.

Mr. Tan has led and executed numerous complex valuation engagements involving majority and minority interests in both public and private companies, locally and internationally. His expertise includes valuations of shares and intangible assets, fairness opinions and purchase price allocations related to financial reporting, transactions and mergers and acquisitions across various industries. He has also been involved in projects related to financial modeling and review, financial due diligence, restructuring and sell-side M&A transactions in the Philippines.

Notable engagements include the valuation of an investment holding company owning a majority stake in one of the Philippines’ largest publicly listed conglomerates, a fairness opinion for a property-for-share swap involving a publicly listed energy firm with an international renewable energy portfolio and a fairness opinion for one of the Philippines’ largest real estate companies.

Mr. Tan earned his Executive M.B.A. from the Asian Institute of Management, graduating with High Distinction and at the top of his class. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Santo Tomas, where he graduated valedictorian, magna cum laude, and was recognized as the university’s Most Outstanding Graduate. He is an active member of the CFA Society Philippines, where he has served as a board trustee, and was recognized by the CFA Institute as an Emerging CFA Society Leader.
