Amanda Short

Amanda Short has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Ms. Short has expertise in supply chain management, purchased services, pharmacy, performance transformation and integration diligence and implementation. Additionally, she has advised clients on turnaround planning, expense management, workforce optimization, revenue cycle management and clinician engagement. Ms. Short has excelled in collaborating with organizations to achieve sustainable operational and financial results.

Ms. Short has been successful in partnering with clients to operationalize plans for revenue enhancement and expense management programs through strategic supplier negotiations, physician engagement, insourcing and outsourcing strategies and process improvements. Her operational expertise and dedication to client partnership drive successful outcomes, even in the most complex engagements.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Short played a key role at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (“UPMC”), where she led strategic sourcing initiatives in the areas of patient monitoring, dialysis, pediatrics, pharmacy automation and various other areas. Ms. Short facilitated cross-functional teams while successfully driving sourcing initiatives that reduced costs, maximized profits and minimized organizational risk for large integrated delivery networks.

Ms. Short received her B.S. in business administration with a concentration in supply chain management and marketing from Duquesne University.
