André Gutierrez Malandrino

André Gutierrez Malandrino is a Senior Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. André has experience serving in financial due diligences, restructuring processes and interim management advisory roles.

André performs restructuring and interim management activities and financial and business-related analysis for companies in a variety of sectors. His work has included performing due diligence processes for M&A and credit operations in the energy and agribusiness sectors, as well as providing interim management of companies in the healthcare, business process outsourcing (“BPO”), business transformational outsourcing (“BTO”) and oil and gas sectors.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, André worked for two years at one of the largest independent Latin American PE funds with more than 30 investments in the region, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Panama. On the investment team, André evaluated potential targets from various sectors, acting with strategic planning, financial modeling and market research. He was also directly involved in the main financial and strategic events of Brazil’s portfolio companies, positioned in the health, retail and logistics sectors. In addition, he has worked in the Equity Research area of one of the largest Brazilian banks, where he analyzed companies in the energy, metal and mining sectors.

André speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Relevant Experience:

• Served as Chief Restructuring Officer of a BPO/BTO operation with more than USD300 million in annual revenues and operations in seven countries
• Performed a financial due diligence for a relevant credit operation in the Brazilian renewable energy sector
• Conducted an orderly wind-down process for an international oil and gas group with a presence in Brazil
• Provided financial and market analysis to support the restructuring of one of Peru’s largest telecom companies
• Served as a PE professional providing support on financial and strategic decision-making for portfolio companies in the retail and logistics sectors
