Andrew Bonasera

Andrew Bonasera is a Senior Managing Director in the Health Solutions practice and is based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Bonasera has over 20 years of experience in the public accounting industry, providing services in litigation consulting and forensic investigations.

Mr. Bonasera works with healthcare organizations and their counsel to address a variety of regulatory compliance and business performance issues. His clients include pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers and diagnostic lab companies.

Mr. Bonasera’s experience includes forensic investigations related to filing false claims for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, commercial disputes between healthcare entities, Qui Tam investigations and operational reviews. Mr. Bonasera specializes in providing financial modeling and strategic advice to healthcare organizations facing complex legal and regulatory issues.

A common theme among Mr. Bonasera’s experiences is the analysis of large data sets from which he constructs dynamic financial models that allow counsel and his clients to determine the impact of specific assumptions in support of real-time decision making. Mr. Bonasera has supported counsel in large scale litigation by deconstructing opposing expert’s models, identifying industry and regulatory dynamics that support his clients and providing means for resolution. He has also served as an expert and provided deposition testimony.

Some representative examples of Mr. Bonasera’s experiences include pharmacy pricing matters and FCA investigations, State Medicaid program investigations, and data mining and analytics.

Mr. Bonasera earned his M.S. in Finance from George Washington University and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. Mr. Bonasera also serves on the Board of St. John’s Community Services and is chair of the Finance Committee.
