Angela Ahrendt

Angela Ahrendt is Senior Director of Healthcare & Life Sciences within FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. With more than a decade of experience in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare and technology, Angela has built her expertise in the intersection of European and national healthcare policies, with a particular focus on enabling the diffusion of innovation within the healthcare sector. She regularly contributes to publications and expert panels on data, cybersecurity and AI in healthcare regulation in the EU.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2022, Angela was the Director of Communities and Strategic Relations for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) region at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (“HIMSS”). During her seven years at HIMSS, Angela identified, linked and unlocked synergies among stakeholders, policies and practices for amplified community impact and to enable the best use of information and technology in healthcare. Her previous work experience includes positions in the education, nongovernmental, media and private sectors — including a traineeship at the Communication and Information Unit and Office of the Director-General at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (“DG REGIO”) in Brussels.

Angela is based in Berlin and regularly commutes to Brussels.
