About Asha
Asha Oberoi joins as Head of Digital and Insights with a remit to build out an Australian practice that specialises in the area of digital, social and insights-based Strategic Communications.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Asha was the Insights Lead at Streem Media Intelligence and Insights. There, she was responsible for establishing and growing the Insights division, developing several successful Insights and Analytics products, creating a team of 13 Media Analysis specialists. Asha also led the strategy and development of Streem Social, a social listening and analytics tool developed specifically for communications professionals. In her role at Streem, Asha advised several Chief Communications Officers on their media reporting requirements for the C-suite.
Before Asha’s position at Streem, she held a senior executive role within the Australian-based Storyful team. Storyful, a Social Media Intelligence company and a subsect of News Corp, used social data to provide advice and recommendations to its clients. During her time at Storyful, Asha successfully advised Abbvie Pharmaceuticals, Ray White Real Estate and others in the area of consumer intelligence. Asha has also held several business and product lead roles at Isentia, specialising in media analysis and daily briefings for C-suite executives.
Prior to a career in Communications and Insights in Australia, Asha held senior executive roles within the UK media industry including, five years at ITN in London and Head of Multimedia at the Press Association.
Asha graduated from Bournemouth University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism and has worked in and around the media industry for more than 25 years, working with clients in the United States, Europe and the Asia Pacific.
