Ben Menzies-Wilson

Ben Menzies-Wilson has over twelve years of financial advisory experience advising lenders, investors and senior management teams. Ben has performed advisory services in various industries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including casual dining, oil and gas, FMCG and real estate.

Ben’s restructuring experience includes liquidity monitoring/cashflow forecasting, Independent Business Reviews (“IBRs”), options analysis, contingency planning and stakeholder management supporting clients through to successful restructurings. He has a particular focus on debt restructurings, supporting stakeholders through a range of stressed and distressed situations. This often involves navigating complex stakeholder dynamics amongst boards and management teams, financial institutions, shareholders and other connected parties, to protect and maximise value.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (“ICAEW”).

Relevant Experience:

• Served as financial advisor to the Lenders of a listed international engineering consulting group, including short-term cash flow forecasting review, business review and negotiations with the Company
• Advised a European chemical company, including preparation for potential court filing
• Advised communications company on restructuring by way of a pre-pack packaged administration
• Provided a business review, contingency planning and options analysis for key stakeholders for UK oil refinery
• Held a financial advisory role to the revolving credit facility lenders to the one of the UK’s largest shopping centre real estate investment trusts
• Conducted an IBR of multinational steel conglomerate to support refinancing
• Provided a business review for large multinational cinema chain, including working with FTI colleagues globally.
