Bobby Dua

Bobby Dua is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s European Tax Advisory practice and specializes in real estate transactions and advisory. Bobby has extensive experience spanning a broad range of structures, transactions and asset classes.

Bobby has a diverse real estate client base with particular experience working with private equity (“PE”) funds, family offices and private and public companies, including real estate investment trusts (“REITs”). His transaction experience includes initial fund structuring, financial and tax due diligence, acquisition and deal structuring, tax forecasting, financing and refinancing, exit planning and vendor-assisted workstreams.

Bobby holds an B.A. with first-class honors in accounting, financial management and economics and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Relevant Experience:

• Advised a U.S. PE fund on the acquisition, development and disposal of a £300 million logistics park
• Advised a Singaporean investor on the acquisition of multiple portfolios of “Opco-Propco” regional student accommodation blocks
• Advised a newly listed UK REIT on the acquisition of various special purpose vehicles (“SPVs”) holding UK real estate exceeding £330 million
• Advised a U.S. PE fund on forward funding acquisitions and structuring for the development of headquartered and flagship commercial properties for large retailers with combined gross development value (“GDV”) exceeding £400 million
• Advised a U.S PE fund on the formation of a new pan European fund
• Advised a retailer on the acquisition of two REIT subsidiaries holding property pool interests containing 21 supermarket properties for £431 million
• Advised on the acquisition of a portfolio of Guernsey Property Unit Trusts holding UK commercial property for £100 million
• Advised on the formation of a joint venture between a U.S. PE fund and a UK private investor to undertake land promotion deals
