Brad Murzyn

Brad Murzyn has more than 10 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including income tax basis, GAAP and SEC financial reporting. In addition, Mr. Murzyn has worked on the accounting and financial reporting for opportunity zone funds.

Mr. Murzyn works in the Investment Administration & Reporting (“IA&R”) group within FTI Consulting’s Real Estate Solutions practice. The group serves as an outsourced accounting department and financial reporting advisor for public and private real estate companies.

Mr. Murzyn has experience leading annual audits, preparing SEC filings and tax returns, and producing reports for investors. He works with private equity debt funds as well as equity funds, and his experience with opportunity zone funds includes ensuring compliance with regulations, as well as reporting for those funds. In addition, he has worked on accounting for new construction of real estate assets and the related reporting.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Murzyn worked at Trilogy Real Estate Group, a real estate private equity firm. There, he served as the Vice President of Accounting, where he oversaw the accounting and financial reporting process for the company’s funds.

Relevant Experience:

• Managed financial reporting for real estate debt and equity funds, including real estate investment trusts (“REITs”)
• Prepared and reviewed investor waterfalls, allocations and distributions, including complex structures
• Oversaw all aspects of fund accounting and reporting to external investors
• Implemented process improvements to streamline fund accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy
