Brett Callow

Brett Callow is a Managing Director in the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice at FTI Consulting and is a trusted advisor to global leaders when the stakes are high. Brett works closely with legal teams, boards, chief information security officers (“CISOs”) and senior executives to navigate complex, high-impact cyber crises with clarity and strategic precision.

With more than two decades of experience, Brett has guided Fortune 500 companies and other organizations across the public and private sectors through ransomware attacks, nation-state intrusions, insider threats and third-party breaches. He partners with leading cyber law firms, forensic investigators and insurers to deliver coordinated communications strategies that safeguard reputation and preserve stakeholder trust.

Beyond incident response, Brett develops tailored crisis preparedness programs for executive teams and boards, ensuring leadership is equipped to act decisively and confidently under pressure. His ability to break down complex cybersecurity and legal matters allows leadership to communicate efficiently and maintain control in high-pressure situations.

Brett’s work has helped shape global cybersecurity discourse, with citations in the U.S. Economic Report of the President, the World Economic Forum, the European Commission for Economic Policy, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”) and other influential policy bodies. He has participated in panels and policy-related discussions, including at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Aspen Institute, and has served on the advisory board of the Royal United Services Institute’s Ransomware Harms project.
