Brett Wilson

Brett Wilson is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Mr. Wilson has extensive experience in the Energy Industry, including exploration and production (“E&P”) and oilfield services (“OFS”) as well as in real estate, retail, biotechnology research and hospitality.

Mr. Wilson joined FTI Consulting in 2012 and has assisted in providing restructuring and financial advisory services to financial institutions and private and public companies with an emphasis in the energy sector.

Mr. Wilson’s prior restructuring engagements have resulted in successful in and out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Wilson has supported clients in various capacities including business plan analysis and due diligence; constructing and reviewing financial models and cash flow forecasts; assessing financial and operational performance; liquidity management; insolvency filing preparation; developing strategies to maximize value for stakeholders; liquidation and recovery analysis; and reporting to various stakeholder groups.

Mr. Wilson holds a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation in 2018 and is a member of the CFA Society Calgary member and the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
