About Brian
Brian Carroll advises clients primarily in the industrials sector on public affairs, issues management and media relations. Mr. Carroll helps clients succeed with the media, providing spokesperson training, building relationships with journalists and identifying the right narratives and angles for clients to share their stories and position themselves as thought leaders.
Prior to returning to his native United States, Mr. Carroll worked for FTI Consulting in Brussels and has vast knowledge of the European political and media landscape, as well as the development of impactful EU public affairs campaigns.
Previously, Mr. Carroll served as head of external communications at Solvay, a global specialty chemicals company, where he was a spokesperson and led the group’s press relations and crisis communications globally. He was also with life sciences company Bayer, where he managed regional external and internal communications for the Crop Science division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) following its acquisition of Monsanto in 2018, where he served previously in a similar capacity.
Prior to his corporate experience, Mr. Carroll worked for six years at a global public affairs firm, where he held business development roles in Washington D.C., Beijing, Mumbai and Brussels. In addition to his native English, he speaks fluent French and is conversant in Dutch, Spanish and Mandarin.
Mr. Carroll earned an M.A. in communications from the American University of Paris and a B.A. from Elon University.
