About Brian
Brian Christie is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Boston.
Mr. Christie has significant experience in advising executive management, board of directors, company counsel and external counsel regarding a wide range of accounting and financial reporting issues including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, reserve accounting, stock based compensation accounting, and the accounting for business combinations. Mr. Christie has worked with several small to mid-size companies, as well as multi-national corporations. Brian has led several accounting related investigations and white collar defense engagements.
Mr. Christie specializes in providing forensic and technical accounting consultation and advisory services in connection with SEC and internal investigations, white collar crime allegations, litigation, and corporate restatements. Mr. Christie’s engagements generally relate to examinations into the propriety of financial reporting, including the application of generally accepted accounting principles in the US (GAAP). Mr. Christie also has significant financial and accounting due diligence experience, including providing advisory services to both corporate and strategic buyers related to acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition disputes.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Christie was a Managing Director at another large forensic and litigation company, as well as an Audit Manager in a “Big 4” accounting firm.
