Brian Lemus

Brian Lemus is an artificial intelligence and data governance expert with more than 20 years of experience running large, complex enterprise data platforms under regulatory scrutiny. Mr. Lemus serves as an expert in AI vision and architecture at the center of FTI Technology’s solutions pipeline. He helps technical and non-technical stakeholders make sense of complex data in high-stakes regulatory and legal environments.

Mr. Lemus works with highly regulated clients across financial services and other industries. With an information technology background, he leads AI governance and enterprise data platform efforts for corporations looking to reduce their IT spend while maintaining compliance with state, national and global regulations.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Lemus spent more than two decades at Bank of America, where he led the AI and data organization responsible for enterprise-scale platforms. He also designed and launched the global bank’s first enterprise-approved generative AI model, developed with full awareness of the bank’s federal regulators, clearing 17 internal governance checkpoints with no regulatory findings.

Relevant Experience:

• Served as Bank of America’s enterprise data steward for call transcripts and complaints, processing 12 million monthly customer interactions; maintained zero findings across all AI and data systems under his ownership throughout more than 15 federal regulatory examinations, spanning a decade
• Co-designed a risk detection language platform with general counsel covering 31 regulatory categories and more than 500 deterministic rules, processing five million monthly complaints; the platform reduced manual review by approximately 80% and achieved precision above 97% in its highest-risk detection categories
• Co-invented U.S. Patent 10,841,424, Machine Learning Call Monitoring, and contributed to a national AI policy, including President Biden’s Executive Order on AI (EO 14110)
