Caitlin Appling

Caitlin Appling is a member of FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment with more than eight years of experience providing financial advisory services to companies, lenders and official committees of unsecured creditors in both Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workout situations. Ms. Appling has advised stakeholders across a variety of industries, including industrial services, transportation, oil and gas, healthcare and fitness.

Ms. Appling has experience in liquidity management, business plan development and review, debt negotiations, evaluation of strategic alternatives, interim management, financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) support and financial due diligence.

Ms. Appling’s restructuring experience includes both debtor and creditor-side roles. In addition to her restructuring experience, she has served in interim CFO roles and has provided interim FP&A and sell-side transaction support.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Appling served as a Senior Financial Analyst at BVA Group. In this role, she was responsible for performing a variety of valuation and financial advisory services, including the valuation of companies for financial reporting, tax and litigation purposes. Additionally, she performed buy-side financial due diligence and was responsible for the evaluation of economic damages in a variety of business contexts.
