About Chad
Chad Coben is a seasoned business leader and financial professional with more than 30 years of experience working with boards, management teams and their capital partners. Mr. Coben has led engagements involving mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”), financings, business transformations and financial and operational restructurings. He has served in C-level interim executive roles and as a board director, leading organizations through periods of uncertainty and change. He has extensive experience across a variety of sectors, including telecom and technology infrastructure and services, aerospace, defense and national security, tech-enabled businesses, and consumer products and services.
Acting as both an advisor and interim executive, Mr. Coben works closely with financial sponsors, lenders and management teams to lead business transformations and operational improvement initiatives across the value chain. His work includes driving revenue growth, reducing operating and supply chain costs, transforming finance organizations and optimizing people, processes and systems. He has supported M&A transactions and financings and routinely leads commercial, operational and financial due diligence, as well as acquisition integration initiatives.
Mr. Coben has served in executive roles on behalf of both public and private-equity-backed companies and has led operational and financial restructurings to create value and maximize financial outcomes. He is an effective leader who is accustomed to providing on-site management services and integrating quickly into executive teams to help drive initiatives for boards of directors and their capital partners. Mr. Coben is adept at identifying, prioritizing and executing operational initiatives, enhancing financial reporting and discipline, and strengthening trust and transparency with capital partners.
Mr. Coben joined FTI Consulting in 2008 following the acquisition of CXO, LLC — a boutique turnaround and advisory services firm. Prior to joining CXO, he spent more than six years as part of a core management team involved in the consolidation, financing and operations of cable television, radio, out-of-home advertising and telecommunications businesses through Marcus Cable, AMFM and Novo Networks. Mr. Coben began his career at Bank of America, where he spent six years in the Media & Communications Finance group.
