Chuck Goad specializes in providing financial and strategic solutions to companies, their creditors and stakeholders. Mr. Goad has more than 20 years of financial and accounting experience, and industry expertise in many areas including retail, consumer packaged goods, transportation, not-for-profit, education, manufacturing, healthcare and distribution.
Mr. Goad’s experience includes assisting senior management teams and parties-in-interest in developing and implementing strategic alternatives, revenue-enhancement initiatives and cost-reduction programs. He helps clients navigate the complexities of underperformance and distress by assessing business plans and financial models, preparing financial projections and performing financial analysis. In addition, he has extensive experience in cash and working capital management, claims analysis, vendor relations, asset monetization and bankruptcy management.
Over the years, Mr. Goad has advised companies and creditors in a variety of situations, including RadioShack, where he represented the company in a successful restructuring and asset-sale process, and Chobani, where he represented the secured lenders over a nearly three-year period. Mr. Goad also represented American Apparel, then the largest apparel manufacturer in the United States, as financial advisor in both Chapter 11 bankruptcies.
Other select experience includes Pilot Flying J, a $29 billion truck stop operator and diesel retailer; Berkline/Benchcraft, a $500 million furniture manufacturer; a $150 million chain of restaurant and entertainment clubs; a $200 million producer of potato chips and snack foods; Trident Microsystems, a provider of semiconductors for digital home entertainment; Delta Woodside, a $700 million textile manufacturer and former Fortune 500 conglomerate; and a $750 million private aircraft seller.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Goad spent five years with TRG, a turnaround and crisis management firm. Before TRG, he spent four years in the Audit practice of KPMG.
