About Chris
Chris Bennett has 15 years of experience providing restructuring and insolvency advice to corporates, lenders and funds in complex situations. Chris’ experience includes financial restructuring and stakeholder management, options analysis, short-term liquidity assessments, business plan reviews and contingency planning. He has advised stakeholders across a number of sectors, including commodities, energy, engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”), infrastructure, fibre broadband, casual dining and retail.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Chris spent eight years at PwC in the Refinancing, Restructuring & Insolvency team. In this role, he served a one-year secondment to a special situations investor, where his work included research, analysis and execution of distressed credit and equity investments in the retail sector across Europe.
Chris holds a B.A. with honours in Economics and Politics from the University of Sheffield. He is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.

- Joint Administrator of James Fisher Nuclear, a UK nuclear decommissioning engineering services business
- Joint Administrator and led the pre-packaged sale of the UK dine-in restaurant chain trading as Pizza Hut in the UK
- Joint Administrator of Innis & Gunn, a Scottish brewer
- Joint Administrator of Radley & Co, a British handbag and accessories brand
- Advised His Majesty’s Government (“HMG”) on a European energy trading and retail business, including contingency planning options
- Advised a U.S. listed business on its solvent exit from its European energy marketing businesses
- Restructuring advisory to ED&F Man, a global soft commodities trader, on its $1.5 billion debt refinancing, implemented through a successful Scheme of Arrangement
- Advised lending syndicates on multiple fibre broadband situations in the UK and Germany
