About Christopher
Christopher Gray is a Managing Director in the Transactions practice at FTI Consulting and has nearly a decade of experience representing buyers, sellers and lenders in connection with the evaluation of investment opportunities. Mr. Gray has advised clients across a range of sectors, with a specific focus on telecom, media and technology (“TMT”), consumer food and beverage, transportation, industrials and manufacturing. His clients range from public companies to large- and middle-market private equity firms, as well as mezzanine and senior lenders.
Mr. Gray’s experience includes providing financial diligence, transaction advisory and broader financial consulting support, as well as assisting clients with interim finance matters. His buy-side experience includes quality of earnings analysis, quality of revenue and working capital review, in addition to assessing potential liabilities and other transaction-related risks. On the sell-side, Mr. Gray has advised clients in connection with sale processes, including quality of earnings, working capital considerations, forecasting, the conversion of cash-basis financial information to accrual reporting, and the identification of potential separation and transition issues. He has also supported special situations involving investor redemption processes.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Gray worked as a Manager in Plante Moran’s transaction advisory services practice, where he focused on middle-market companies. Preceding this role, he worked in the audit practice at Forvis Mazars, where he led engagement teams in performing annual financial statement audits.
Relevant Experience:
- Performed buy-side due diligence for a gourmet quick service restaurant (“QSR”) chain with more than 75 locations across the western and southern United States
- Supported the sell-side process for a major multinational provider of remote monitoring and security services with operations spanning the United States, Ireland and the United Kingdom; focused on recurring revenue trends, gross margin performance, working capital and cross-border operating dynamics
- Advised on the sell-side financial diligence of a large agricultural producer with more than $400 million in revenue in connection with a strategic sale process; included analysis of revenue growth, volume and pricing trends, gross margin performance, customer-level trends, seasonality and working capital
