About Christopher
Christopher Ruell is a Senior Managing Director, leading the UK Corporate Advisory practice and co-leading the EMEA Office of the CFO Solutions practice. Christopher has more than 26 years of experience in both public and private sector advising creditors, investors and boards.
Christopher’s experience includes crisis management and stabilisation, strategic operational and financial assessments, the development, assessment and improvement of business planning and reporting, stakeholder options analysis, financial restructuring and stakeholder management. He has been involved in a number of highly complex assignments across a broad range of industries and geographies. Examples of his engagements include a multibillion dollar global asset rental business, a £300 million IT managed services business, a £200 million global oil and gas services business, a €1.7 billion Irish conglomerate and a £200 million global oil and gas asset rental business.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Christopher was a restructuring director at Ernst and Young, where he undertook a variety of restructuring assignments. During this time, he also completed a one-year secondment to Barclays Bank’s turnaround team in London. Before that, he worked at Arthur Andersen.
Christopher holds a B.Sc. with Honours in Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
