Collin Miller

Collin Miller is an expert in emerging data sources, e-discovery, compliance and risk management. Mr. Miller brings more than 10 years of experience in these disciplines, as well as in project management and solutions architecture for complex data challenges. He specializes in building custom solutions to address discovery and investigation needs across large data sets, with an emphasis on cloud and emerging data platforms.

Mr. Miller is an expert at finding the right tools to create a custom, cost-effective and timely solution for clients in need of e-discovery and investigative support. With broad experience with front-end conceptual analytics, Mr. Miller supports large-scale collection and analysis efforts, allowing him to assist clients with identifying potentially responsive data while maintaining defensibility and avoiding over-inclusion. This includes the unique challenges present when handling electronic evidence in cloud-based, chat and collaboration platforms, particularly dynamic linked content and short-form messages. Additionally, he supports artificial intelligence research, development and education within FTI Technology, helping clients and teams integrate large language models into workflows. Mr. Miller’s AI work includes analysis of AI artifacts to assist in validating whether content was human-generated or created by AI.

Mr. Miller played a key role in the development of FTI Technology’s Connect and Universal Messaging Platform solutions, proprietary platforms that drive faster access to insights from data and support rapid integration to collect from cloud data sources. These solutions are instrumental in supporting FTI Technology’s e-discovery and investigations experts with delivering efficient workstreams that identify, preserve, collect, process, review and produce information from dozens of emerging data sources.

In addition, Mr. Miller has experience in workflow and solutions implementation through the entire e-discovery lifecycle. In addition, he has spent nearly a decade focused on the merging of technology offerings from e-discovery solutions for comprehensive compliance audits, behavioral monitoring and investigation response.

Relevant Experience:

• Led project management for a large class action lawsuit, a multijurisdictional litigation involving millions of documents and complex, serial productions
• Developed documentation, training, certification programs and implementation strategies for enterprise implementation of customized software solutions with multiple Fortune 50 companies and AmLaw 100 law firms
• Retained as a 30b6, or expert witness, for multiple matters both in state courts (Texas and Washington) and federal court as an expert in digital forensics and data analytics
