Darius Alexander

Darius Alexander is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, advising high-growth start-ups, scale-ups and multinational technology and fintech companies across strategy, marketing, communications business development and partnerships – and, more specifically, corporate profile raising and corporate reputation, market expansion and go-to-market strategy. Darius also has broad experience advising high-growth tech companies on venture capital fundraising efforts from seed to Series A-D and pre-IPO.

Darius has extensive experience delivering large global mandates for several leading global technology businesses across the United States, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Darius also works with large multinational technology and fintech companies to help them launch new initiatives and products. Darius has advised some of the most renowned global fintech companies on their go-to-market communications in the Middle East, including Stripe, Kraken and 21Shares.

Darius also has an extensive global network of key tech industry associations, such as the Middle East Venture Capital Association, Hub71, DIFC Fintech Hive, Future50 and Techstars. He is a regular speaker at venture capital, technology and fintech events.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Darius held strategic marketing and communications positions at a global communications firm part of WPP Group, advising clients such as Uber, Accenture and BAML. Before that, Darius managed the marketing and communications strategy for global venture capital firm Rocket Internet GmbH, working closely with founders and CEOs of some of Europe’s fastest-growing fintech and e-commerce businesses.

• Strategic advisory on seed, venture and growth fundraising – advising a leading global fintech scaleup on its venture capital fundraising in the Middle East and United States
• Market expansion and go-to-market (“GTM”) strategies – launched Stripe into the UAE in April 2021, Kraken into the Abu Dhabi Global Market (“ADGM”) in 2022 and listed 21Shares’ Bitcoin ETP on Nasdaq Dubai in 2022, a first-of-its-kind listing for the region
• Led the comms strategy for Arrow Capital (PIPE investor and co-sponsor) on the $276 million tech special purpose acquisition company (“SPAC”) listing of Tribe Capital Growth Corp I on the U.S. NASDAQ, a regional first
• Multidisciplinary global mandates with a Middle East focus – manages communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for one of the world’s leading cloud services providers
