About David
David Kiyosaki has more than ten years of financial consulting experience and has worked extensively in the role of financial advisor to the debtor in Chapter 11 proceedings, among other distressed situations.
Mr. Kiyosaki focuses on restructuring and bankruptcy strategy, footprint and contract rationalization and analysis, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and vendor management. His expertise spans a variety of industries, including travel and leisure, manufacturing, real estate and mining.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Mr. Kiyosaki worked at several financial consulting firms where he focused on litigation damages and valuation analyses.
Relevant Experience:
- Assisted Diebold Nixdorf as it proceeded through a dual U.S. Chapter 11 restructuring and Dutch WHOA proceeding, resulting in $1.5 billion deleveraging and more than $100 million in annual interest savings
- Provided advisory support for The Hertz Corporation’s successful restructuring process, leading the footprint rationalization and claims reconciliation processes
- Served as a key member of the Chapter 11 proceedings related to a U.S. coal producer, supporting all areas of the business with a focus on employee and insurance related challenges
- Assisted in performing buy-side due diligence for a government-sponsored loan program
