About David
David McGrath has more than 20 years’ experience advising on complex multi-creditor restructuring situations and leading large external administrations. David has advised a wide range of stakeholders, including corporates, senior and junior lenders, bondholders, guarantee providers and shareholders in restructuring situations across numerous jurisdictions. He is also a registered liquidator who can accept insolvency appointments to effect restructures where required.
David’s recent assignments have involved a range of high-profile Australian restructuring situations, including BIS Industries, Peabody Energy, Network Ten and Suncable. He has also advised various creditor groups in relation to a number of complex European and UK restructurings. In addition, David has acted for clients including local and international banks, credit funds, government institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, David was a partner in the restructuring practice at PwC Australia. Preceding this role, he was a director in PwC UK’s restructuring and refinancing practice, focused on complex, cross-border restructuring situations.
