David Noll

David Noll is a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Transformation practice. David is a supply chain specialist combining practical industry and consulting experience to deliver strategic and operational improvements, enabling businesses to drive performance at a competitive cost-to-serve.

With more than 15 years of experience, David has advised companies across the globe on supply chain strategy. Assignments range from insource and outsource decision-making, network, warehouse and automation design, as well as sales and operations planning and inventory optimisation. David streamlines operations and improves performance across the supply chain, providing end-to-end delivery, from the development of the initial strategy to implementation and post-implementation support.

Prior to his career in consulting, David worked as General Manager at Wincanton, a third-party logistics provider, where he supported an S&P100 fast-moving consumer goods (“FMCG”) customer. Additionally, he gained extensive automation experience at Ocado.

Relevant Experience:

• Led the North American field service workstream for a Fortune 500 manufacturer, driving an in-year EBITDA margin improvement of eight percentage points by optimising operational planning, cost-control and workload balance
• Led the target operating model design for a global marine business, addressing historic merger-integration challenges through a revised organisational structure; unlocked group EBITDA synergies of €20 million
• Led the Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) and Americas network optimisation workstream for a Fortune 500 electronics distributor; relocated sites to a cost-optimal location and delivered operating expenses run-rate improvements of €36 million
• Developed an e-commerce warehouse concept covering four countries for an EMEA-based FMCG company; focused on franchised fashion and consumer goods brands
• Led the operational workstream for a buy-side carve-out of a medical device company, setting up an outsourced European supply chain covering 12 key markets
