Diego Gago

Diego Gago is a Managing Director within the Public Affairs practice in Spain, where he applies his experience in the legislative and regulatory fields to help organizations anticipate risks, identify opportunities and successfully position themselves in the current Spanish and European political context. Diego has 10 years of experience in public affairs, first as a public servant and later leading campaigns for major national and international clients and companies.

Diego supports his clients in defining strategies and campaigns that strengthen institutional and regulatory understanding, corporate reputation and the promotion of their messages and interests in complex environments. His experience includes creating frameworks for collaboration, aligning and transforming needs into shared interests.

Prior to working in public affairs, Diego served as a spokesman for ecological transition in the Deputies Congress, where he gained extensive knowledge of the development of national and European regulatory frameworks.

Relevant Experience:

• Advised large companies, employers’ associations and corporations across the main industrial sectors, with a particular focus on energy, transport, technology and traditional industry
• Led the design and implementation of global, European and national public affairs campaigns to develop narratives, positions and institutional and corporate engagement
• Led the creation and coordination of alliances, identification of societal concerns, regulatory anticipation and alignment of clients’ shared interests
