Drew Cecil is a strategy and operations leader with 15 years of expertise helping organizations improve performance and operational efficiency. Mr. Cecil works closely with clients to optimize supply chain strategy, distribution operations and business processes while delivering measurable results.
Mr. Cecil has led complex engagements across consumer products, retail, chemicals and e-commerce industries. His work spans supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, transportation, merger integration, due diligence and project management, consistently driving tangible improvements in cost, speed and quality.
Mr. Cecil has extensive experience implementing end-to-end supply chain solutions, including direct/indirect procurement, network strategy, selecting and implementing supply chain software, enhancing distribution center operations including inbound, fulfillment and outbound processes, and aligning operational strategy with broader business goals.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Cecil worked in the Supply Chain practice at Kurt Salmon, part of Accenture Strategy, where he focused on leading client engagements in consumer products and retail. He was part of Alvarez and Marsal’s Performance Improvement practice. He also worked at multiple e-commerce companies, where he focused on improving supply chain and distribution operations.
Relevant Experience:
- Led a direct sourcing engagement for a private equity-owned pet supplies company that identified more than $4 million in savings, both in improved pricing from current suppliers and switching Asian manufacturers to mitigate tariff costs
- Completed multiple complex operational due diligences on behalf of a manufacturer of specialty chemicals which enabled their purchase of both a publicly traded competitor and additional acquisitions to complete their portfolio
- Completed a network strategy and warehouse assessment for a leading outdoor clothing and equipment company determining all operational changes and Material Handling Equipment (“MHE”) adjustments required to support growth projections over the next five years including site selection for a second distribution center
- Led the launch of outbound distribution for the largest retail distribution center for a global athletic apparel manufacturer. Responsibilities included designing new picking/packing/shipping processes, testing all software, User Acceptance Training (“UAT”), staffing and running daily operations
- Advised e-commerce startups on scaling distribution operations, streamlining fulfillment and implementing operational best practices
