About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Adams leads FTI Consulting's Energy team’s transition, renewables, and energy technology work. Her areas of expertise are capital markets, financial and corporate communications, with particular emphasis on large transactions and IPOs, as well as corporate narratives and positioning.
For the past 18 years, Elizabeth has worked across the global energy sector as a journalist, consultant, and in-company. She has advised BP, Vitol, Cairn Energy and, more recently, Drax, Mainstream Renewable Energy, Puma Energy, Siemens Gamesa and Southern Water.
She joined FTI Consulting in 2018. Elizabeth was formerly a foreign correspondent for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, spending time in Oslo and London, a consultant at a global communication firm. She was Head of Financial and Corporate Communications at Canary Wharf Group – London’s biggest regeneration project and home to fintech accelerator Level39 – and led Corporate Affairs at UK challenger utility UK Power Reserve.
She holds a B. Sc. (Hons) in Geography from the University of Oxford and a M.A. in International Economic Law from the University of London’s School of African and Oriental Studies.
