Ethan Wilansky

Ethan Wilansky has spent nearly 30 years in the information technology industry, with specialized expertise in handling emerging data sources, cloud platforms and linked content. As a technical leader, Mr. Wilansky has developed commercial and internal process-based software solutions in multiple modern computer languages to solve complex data challenges in disputes, investigations, high-stakes litigation and regulatory compliance matters.

Mr. Wilansky is a programmer with deep e-discovery and application development expertise. He directs data identification, integration, preservation, collection and analysis strategy and workflows to support litigation readiness and response, as well as uncover intellectual property violations involving proprietary software code.

As a leading legal technology expert, Mr. Wilansky helped guide the creation of FTI Technology’s Connect and Universal Messaging Platform solutions, proprietary platforms that drive faster access to insights and support rapid integration of cloud data sources into e-discovery tools and workflows. Mr. Wilansky collaborated with FTI Technology system engineering to design and fully orchestrate Connect to deploy and run in Kubernetes.

In addition, Mr. Wilansky leads the integration of predictive and generative artificial intelligence solutions into products to support client needs. He has developed numerous solutions for clients, including a parsing engine to support discovery and investigation activities related to a global class action lawsuit in the technology industry.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Wilansky was an entrepreneur and founder of an independent consulting business. He has authored and co-authored fourteen books for Microsoft Corporation and more than 100 technical articles for a variety of publications. In addition, he was awarded a patent for a forensic software solution in 2015.
