Gaspare Saitta

Gaspare Saitta has more than 25 years of accounting and audit experience in the real estate industry, advising public and private real estate companies on complex accounting, internal control, financial reporting and SEC matters.

Mr. Saitta has prepared and reviewed monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 3-14s and pro forma financial statements, including registration statements with the SEC. He has worked on the IPO of a real estate investment trust (“REIT”), including the technical accounting aspects of the formation transaction and the accounting, financial reporting and SEC reporting impacts of the transaction.

Mr. Saitta has overseen the implementation of Sarbanes–Oxley internal control policies and procedures, as well as the conversion of accounting systems at a publicly traded REIT. Additionally, Mr. Saitta has seen the bulk sale of properties and the final merger of a REIT with another publicly traded REIT, including the technical accounting aspects of the final merger transaction and the accounting, financial reporting and SEC reporting impacts of the merger transaction.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Saitta was a vice president and chief accounting officer at Cedar Realty Trust, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of the accounting and financing department. Mr. Saitta was also an audit senior manager at EY, where he led audit engagements of public and private real estate companies, the public offering of a REIT and various acquisition due diligence projects.
