About Gearóid
Gearóid McCarthy is a testifying expert specialising in planning and programming matters and delay disputes. Mr. McCarthy has prepared expert evidence for adjudication, arbitration and litigation proceedings.
Mr. McCarthy has more than 15 years of construction industry experience with industry-leading organisations in consulting, contracting and claims environments. His background includes planning projects, contract administration and change management. He has extensive site-based construction expertise and is experienced in tender processes, design, quality assurance, procurement, testing, commissioning, scheduling and monitoring for construction projects. He also has substantial experience managing new engineering contracts (“NECs”) and associated delay analysis, as well as other types of contracts.
Mr. McCarthy’s work covers varying facets of the built environment, and his domestic and international experience has included both the private and public sectors. These projects have been in rail, roads, utilities, mining, commercial and building.
