About Giuseppe
Giuseppe Farinacci has more than 25 years of experience in operational turnaround, strategic planning and performance improvement engagements, blending management consulting and hands-on experience to deliver tangible results.
Giuseppe’s experience includes designing rapid operational and financial improvements, organizational re-design, delivering large turnaround programs, working capital optimization and liquidity management both for large international corporations and mid-market entities, often supported by financial sponsors. His experience includes a current view on Italian restructuring frameworks.
Giuseppe has considerable industry sector experience in retail, aerospace and defence, power generation, white goods and business services (IT and process outsourcing). Within the financial sector, he has worked with special servicers and specialized investors, delivering holistic and functional improvement efforts.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Giuseppe was a Partner and Director at BCG in Milan, most recently Lead for Special Situations. Prior to that, he contributed to the startup of AlixPartners in Milan, later moving to the London office. Giuseppe started at Arthur Andersen in London.
Relevant Experience:
- Turnaround program of an €8 billion asset Italian co-operative active in grocery retail, real estate and retail banking
- Led lender-mandated job orders monitoring for an Italian oil and gas original equipment manufacturer (“OEM”)
- Led the implementation of short-term liquidity management for an over-levered Italian B2B consumer leveraged buyout (“LBO”)
- Strategy and financial business planning for a €1 billion Energy equipment OEM, post-Ukraine war market turmoil and rapid inflationary trends
- Led improvement program for the HR shared services operations of a major European aerospace and defence group, later expanded in overall corporate functions reorganization
- Engines, components and airframe maintenance, repairs and operations (“MRO”) contract review for a leading Southern European airline
- Exit strategy options development for a global waste management and infrastructure provider severely underperforming in a key Southern European geography
