About Harrison
Harrison West specializes in assisting clients in financial and operational restructurings, M&A and loan workouts, both in and out of bankruptcy in the United States and abroad.
Mr. West has advised companies, owners, secured and unsecured lenders, private placement noteholders and other stakeholders on strategic alternatives for distressed and bankruptcy situations in a myriad of sectors. He has experience reviewing, developing and implementing business plans and capital structures specific to the revitalization of underperforming companies.
Mr. West is highly knowledgeable at assessing, forecasting and managing cash flow for businesses with tight and deteriorating liquidity, as well as implementing cost realignment and revenue enhancement strategies. He has advised on debtor-in-possession credit agreements, exit facilities and rescue financings. He has overseen, managed and negotiated M&A, spinoff and various other transactions to support turnaround strategies in a myriad of sectors and situations.
Over the course of his career, Mr. West has worked closely with numerous hedge funds and institutional investors to negotiate and consummate various transactions and pre-arranged bankruptcies.
Relevant Experience:
- Restructuring and wind-down of a $2 billion collateralized loan obligation (“CLO”) portfolio, including monetization of 12 portfolio companies
- Restructuring of a $2 billion global factoring and direct lending portfolio
- Restructuring and sale of a $300 million U.S. military aerospace and defense contractor
- Restructuring and sale of a $300 million multinational chemical company
- Restructured $500 million of debt for a U.S. aviation service provider to the E&P and healthcare sectors
- Advised the claimants’ committees of LTL and Bestwall, the respective subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson and Georgia Pacific in multibillion-dollar proceedings concerning mass tort litigation
- Advised a global systemically important bank (“GSIB”) in its preparation of resolution and recovery plan submissions to the Federal Reserve and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”), among other engagements
