About Ian
Ian Philip is a Senior Director with FTI Consulting’s Construction, Projects & Assets practice based in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Philip has worked in construction claims and disputes with FTI Consulting since 2019. Mr. Philip has been engaged by industry clients and legal counsel to provide independent expert services in support of negotiations, mediations, and litigation and arbitration proceedings. He has been engaged on various projects, including light rail transit, bridge, highway, utilities, commercial, residential and government facility construction as well as ship building.
Mr. Philip provides critical path delay analysis services using an array of industry recognized methodologies and best practices. Mr. Philip has assisted his clients by constructing schedule models for schedule risk analyses and dynamic disruption modelling applications.
Mr. Philip’s quantum analysis services regularly include assessing disruption and productivity loss impacts, acceleration costs, prolongation costs, and stand-by costs. Mr. Philip is well versed in working with large data sets and critically analyzing projects to determine the most effective analysis methodology. He specializes in loss of productivity and disruption analyses that require quantifying complex impacts using a comprehensible and accurate approach. Mr. Philip has also provided expert witness testimony services in support of arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Philip holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering, Option in Mechanical Engineering, from Queen’s University.
