Isabella More is a Managing Director in the Crisis & Litigation Communications practice within FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment, based Washington D.C. Ms. More provides strategic communications advice to general counsel and C-suites at companies facing high-profile litigation, government investigations, operational incidents and other challenging moments. Ms. More joins FTI Consulting after a decade of federal government service, both in the executive branch and on Capitol Hill. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. More served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Oversight at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, leading Treasury’s engagement with Congress on all oversight matters. While there, she provided strategic guidance to senior leaders, prepared officials for hearings and briefings before Congressional committees, and worked with the communications team to ensure the Treasury Department’s messages were clearly communicated. Ms. More was awarded the Treasury Medal in recognition of her service and participated in the President’s Leadership Workshop, a competitive leadership training program hosted by the White House.
Earlier in her career, Ms. More worked for the Committee on Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives. As Counsel for the Oversight Subcommittee, she conducted investigations and organized hearings to advance the committee’s priorities, including on corporate tax, nonprofit tax, housing, education and trade. She worked extensively on high-profile litigation involving the committee, advising its Chairman on complex strategic and legal questions and on all internal and external communications concerning the case. Ms. More also served as Counsel and Counselor to the General Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Her portfolio included congressional oversight, litigation, information law, employment law, intellectual property and ethics.
