Jacopo Barontini

Jacopo Barontini leads FTI Consulting’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Italy, bringing more than 30 years of experience in restructuring, corporate finance, distressed M&A and special situations. Mr. Barontini focuses on delivering financial restructuring, performance improvement and turnaround management solutions for businesses, lenders and investors facing critical financial or operational pressures.

Mr. Barontini provides advice and hands-on execution across domestic and cross-border in-court and out-of-court matters. His broad expertise encompasses immediate liquidity stabilization actions, short-term cash flow advisory, independent business reviews, debt advisory, option analysis and going-concern assessments across a wide range of industries.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Barontini served as Co-Head of Financial & Operational Restructuring and Head of Financial Restructuring Advisory at Alvarez & Marsal in Italy. Mr. Barontini is fluent in Italian and English.

• Led and executed financial restructuring, turnaround and debt advisory mandates for corporate boards, management teams, lenders and investors across special situations
• Provided independent business reviews, options analysis and going-concern assessments to evaluate business viability and support refinancing transactions
• Advised on distressed M&A transactions, non-going concern situations and exit management projects across multiple sectors, including automotive, retail, construction, telecommunications and food and beverage
• Screened, executed and managed special situations and distressed asset investments for private equity firms
