Jason Bourke

Jason Bourke supports private equity firms and their portfolio companies with operational diligence, integrations, post-close synergy capture and value creation. Mr. Bourke has more than a decade of experience in buy-side and sell-side transactions, as well as portfolio company operations.

Mr. Bourke has worked with clients across a range of industries, including technology, media and entertainment, diversified industrials and consumer products. He is experienced in portfolio company restructuring, buy-side and sell-side carve-outs, stand-alone modeling and value creation, from identification to sizing to capture. Additionally, he is an expert in integration and separation planning and execution.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bourke was a leader in EY-Parthenon’s Private Equity Value Creation practice. He began his career as a lawyer and later transitioned into strategy consulting in Australia.

Relevant Experience:

• Led a carve-out of an AI-powered marketing technology business from a global technology company, driving product strategy and prioritization; resulted in a refined product portfolio and a 6% reduction in research and development (“R&D”) as a percentage of revenue
• Created a $1.5 billion software business unit for a $40 billion industrial conglomerate; developed product strategy to prioritize projects and investments and established a global software organization spanning $1.5 billion in revenue, 3,500 employees and more than 70 locations, ultimately streamlined to 15
• Led an enterprise-wide performance improvement program for a global media and entertainment company, including ad sales, digital, content production, international and corporate operations; identified and executed more than $470 million in total savings
• Led a sell-side margin improvement initiative; included acquisition integration and development of buyer-facing materials
